If the VA is paying your tuition and fees, then in most cases, your university health fee is also paid. This means you get many Primary Care and mental health services at no additional cost to you, and you get access to a range of specialty clinics with special savings for military veterans.

UHC is fully accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission as a Primary Care Medical Home. The University Health Center offers UGA student veterans heavily discounted rates at UHC’s specialty health clinics. We call this initiative the Healthy Veterans Program. Student veterans who have paid their UHC health fees may participate. If you have questions regarding the health fee call 706-542-1162.

1. Vision Clinic - year round
- 50% off of an eye exam, contact lens fitting, and any testing needed
- 20% off of eyeglasses or sunglasses
- 10% off of contact lenses
- 50% off cleaning & exam
- Heart Health Screenings. *Orders will be placed under their primary care provider (PCP), and results sent electronically.
- Birthday month: *50% off a 25, 50, or 80 minute massage
- Year round: *20% off all year
- *not available for packages and/or when using insurance
- A reduced-rate visit for their 1st/initial visit as follows: $97 total (including evaluation code and treatment code(s)) - $125 value, a savings of almost 40%.
