The UHC Pharmacy will be closed from December 25, 2021 through January 3, 2022. We will reopen after the break at 8am on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. The pharmacy will be open with normal business hours through 6pm on December 24, 2021. Customers are encouraged to check supplies and stop by the pharmacy before leaving for winter break. Pharmacy staff members are happy to check with prescribers and insurance companies to fill medications early if allowed. Other pharmacies may call the UHC Pharmacy to transfer prescriptions through 6pm on December 24, 2021.
The UHC Pharmacy is open for walk-in service for prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. We are also happy to bring your medications outside if you prefer; please park in the UHC parking lot, call 706-542-9979, and a pharmacy staff member will deliver your order to your car. To avoid delays, please order your refills prior to arrival.

Be sure you always have your UGA ID with you. Also bring your Prescription Insurance Card. We will update allergies and other medications you take at every visit.
The Pharmacy accepts most major prescription insurance plans. Please bring your Prescription Insurance Card.
Yes, the pharmacy can fill prescriptions written by doctors outside of the Health Center. Also, we will be glad to call an outside pharmacy to transfer any remaining refills you might have on a prescription at that location. Allow us a day to make this transfer. Please provide the pharmacy phone number and the prescription name or number if possible.
We offer 24/7 capabilities: on the internet and by phone. You will need your current prescription number to use these options. You can always call the Pharmacy and speak to a pharmacy staff member who will be glad to refill your prescription.
The busiest times of the day are between the hours of 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Mornings and evenings are the least busy.
We will gladly work with your insurance company to see if they allow for a vacation supply. If there is no insurance involvement, you can get enough medication to get you through the time you will be gone. We can always transfer your prescription to your home town pharmacy for the summer and transfer back any remaining refills in the Fall.
If someone is going to pickup your order for you, you must call the Pharmacy and tell us who that will be.
We have expanded our over-the-counter (OTC) section. These items can be purchased by bringing them to the pharmacy counter to be scanned and placed on you UHC account. Payment is made at the cashier’s desk.
