Panhellenic Donates to Student Pantry
At the end of Spring semester, the UGA Panhellenic Council made a donation of over $5300 to the UGA Student Food Pantry. Funds were raised by all chapters on campus, and the effort coincided with the SEC Food Fight, an annual event created to help alleviate food insecurity for students on college campuses.

Delany Stookey, VP of Philanthropy and Service for the UGA Panhellenic Council said, “The panhellenic council has a long-standing relationship with the UGA Student Food Pantry. One of our efforts for over a decade has been to fight against food insecurity on campus.” The group routinely provides volunteers to help staff the campus resource, and provides support in the way of donations.
This year, administration of the UGA Food Pantry passed from the Panhellenic Council to UGA’s Student Well-being Resources, which now manages the logistics of food distribution and coordinates staffing.
