UGA hosts 2024 Out of the Darkness Campus Walk
At the end of spring semester, the University of Georgia hosted the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk.
Sponsored by UGA’s Well-being Resources, the event raised $54,894, brought 809 walkers together, and was ranked #1 in the campus walks across the nation. This year’s walk was the 7th annual Out of the Darkness Walk hosted by students at the University of Georgia; over the years, this community has raised over $308,000 to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. These fundraising events allow the AFSP to further their mission of research, advocacy, prevention education and support for the survivors of suicide loss community.
