Biographical Info

Carrie Truax serves as the Senior Director of Development for Student Affairs. As the chief development officer for Student Affairs, Truax is the liaison between the Division of Student Affairs and University Development.

 Truax works closely with Vice President Cook to develop fundraising priorities, create an annual development plan, implement the plan and secure major gifts while also supervising a development team. In addition to major gifts, Truax is also responsible for providing strategy, leadership, direction, coordination and management of all levels of giving for the Division of Student Affairs, including annual giving and stewardship.

 Carrie has previously worked in development and fundraising roles for Clemson University, the University of Tennessee, and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

 Carrie earned her Master of Science in Sport Management from West Virginia University and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Clemson University.  A native of Madison, Indiana, Carrie is an avid college football fan, enjoys walking her mini Goldendoodle, Madison, and loves to needlepoint in her free time.
