What is Fresh Check Day?
Fresh Check Day UGA is an uplifting, wellbeing and prevention, peer-to-peer messaging experience. This year’s event, August 16-17, 2021, boasted 15 interactive booths throughout the Stegeman Coliseum, entertainment from Power 100, and exciting prizes and giveaways for all participants. Each participant also received a free ice cream by La Michoacana. The event is free and has been organized by the University Health Center and UGA Housing with support from campus departments including Auxiliary Services, the Office of Emergency Preparedness, and more.

Fresh Check Day is a nationally recognized program of the Jordan Porco Foundation charity. The UGA experience has been made possible by UGA Parents & Families Leadership Council and President Morehead’s President’s Venture Fund..

Student Care & Outreach coordinate care and assistance for all students, undergraduate and graduate, who experience complex, hardship, and/or unforeseen circumstances, by providing individualized assistance and tailored interventions. BOOTH 5: SHOP. EAT. RIDE. PARK. PLAY.

Presented by UGA Auxiliary Services
Auxiliary Services is here to help you shop, eat, ride, park and play while at UGA. Learn more about eating healthy, meal plans, student job opportunities, and finding supplies at the bookstore to help you relax. Presented by UHC Health Promotion, Dining Services and Family & Consumer Science
Nutrition services located in the UHC Health Promotion department include individual nutrition counseling, seminars, and cooking classes in the UHC Nutrition Kitchen. More information or call 706-542-8690.

BOOTH 7: WE STAND BEHIND YOU

Presented by RSVP, the Fontaine Center
Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention, provides Free & Confidential Advocacy to provide students with options and full support. 24 Hour Hotline: 706-542-SAFE. We are located in the UHC Health Promotion Department. More information or call 706-542-8690.

BOOTH 8: WE GOT YOUR BAC

Presented by the Fontaine Center
Looking for fun activities in Athens that don't involve alcohol? Check this out! The Fontaine Center is located in the UHC Health Promotion department and provides education, outreach, programming and support services to support student success. More information or call 706-542-8690.

BOOTH 9: EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Presented by the Office of Emergency Preparedness. 5 steps for students to be prepared: 1.) Update your information in UGAAlert. 2.) Install the LiveSafe safety app on your phone (App store or Google play). 3.) Create an emergency kit to last you for 72 hours. 4.) Complete the Emergency Preparedness Module. 5.) Volunteer with CERT and MRC. More information or call 706-542-3000. For emergencies, dial 911.

Presented by UHC Health Promotion
The sexual health office in the UHC Health Promotion department provides outreach and education to promote a sexually healthy campus. We offer free, discreet mail delivery service for safer-sex supplies known as the Condom Express. For more information call 706-542-8690.

Rec Sports exists to provide you a healthy outlet for coping with stress through exercise. We invite you to visit us at the Ramsey Student Center or Pound Hall for a workout or register for one our additional fitness programs. When you need a break, check out Rec Sports.

Presented by Disability Resource Center, International Student Life, Multicultural Services and LGBT Resource Center
